The Women’s Lighthouse Project is the leading organization supporting and empowering women and their families living with HIV/AIDS. They support and empower women to live and thrive with HIV through education, advocacy and community. The Cook-Off for a Cause is an annual event held by this organization to provide funding for client services. For the competition, I was paired with Chef Brandon Biederman from Steuben’s in Denver. We had to prepare an appetizer, entrée, and a dessert with a random selection of ingredients. This was by far one of the best appearances that I have made so far. We had such a wonderful time cooking and making plenty of jokes in the kitchen. I contributed with my special grilled mushroom recipe! Who said Miss Colorado International could not cook?!?
