New Year's Eve Rodeo Celebration: Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain always puts on a great show when it comes to big holidays. This year, the annual New Year’s Eve party had a rustic rodeo theme. The girls from Conference Services really know how to put on a show. The food was absolutely amazing! My favorite was definitely the desserts. Chocolate anything will melt my heart. The evening also included a torchlight parade conducted by the Ski and Ride School, bonfires, and S’mores from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. At the end of the evening, the crowd was dazzled with a firework show kicking off the New Year.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing Event: Summit County

This event was particularly close to my heart since it was in Summit County. It is amazing how much love and support comes from this small county. I work closely with the Rotary Club in local events and fundraising opportunities. I rang the bell for 3 hours at the City Market grocery store in Dillon, Colorado. A new meaning to “de-thawing” was drawn up that day. Through the snow and cold weather, I also came up with my own jingle. The more you dance and ring the bell, the more money contributed! In the end, Summit County raised over $15,000!

Introduction of the US Snowboard Team

All I need to say for this is … US Snowboard Team!! It was so exciting to meet the whole US Snowboard Team while they were training at Copper Mountain. Copper was the first resort in the United States to open up the first super pipe at 22 feet! I felt I was honored to meet such extraordinary athletes but, it seemed they were more excited to meet me. I also found out that Mason Aguirre’s sister is involved with the pageant system in California.
